From a
cheese grater kitchen clock
or a
childbirth education doll
to the traditional
homemade sock monkeys
, the online marketplace
Etsy
offers some pretty weird and incredibly awesome finds. And if you’re not visiting the site, you might soon find yourself in the minority.
The site is growing by leaps and bounds, with a reported 690,000 new members joining every month. That’s according to
this infographic
from MBA Online, which also shows how simple it is for hobbyists to turn their passion into a booming business of their own.
Just don’t think you’ll have the market cornered on
doll arm earrings
or
Mountain Dew-scented video game controller-shaped soaps
. Those gems are already taken.
