When, where, and how people share content

As Advertising Age taught us last month, content is king. So if content is king, sharing said content is … fealty?

But for those involved in content marketing, the how, when, and where people are doing their sharing is a mystery all are aiming to crack. AddThis compiled a host of statistics on sharing to help, which it bundled into a handy infographic.

A few highlights:

• Peak sharing time: 9:30 am EST;
• Peak sharing day: Wednesday;
• 75 percent of clicks occur on the first day a piece of content is shared.
