Infographic: Profile of the average Google+ user

By Kristin Piombino | Posted: December 3, 2011
Google+ was the hot new thing this summer, but the buzz has died down a bit since the site's July launch.

There are a lot of online influencers dominating the platform, but who is the average Google+ user? An infographic from Flowtown and Column Five has the answer:

  • More than half (63 percent) of Google+ users are male; 37 percent are female.
  • Most users are between the ages of 25 and 34.
  • The core of Google+ users live in the United States, but the site is gaining popularity in India.
  • Most users are in the middle-class income bracket.

But is Google+ losing steam? While the social networking site claims almost 40 million users, only 17 percent of them are active users.
