It was another big week for new Web apps and social media tools.

The award for the “buzziest” launch of the week has to go to Wunderkit.com—the collaboration tool from Berlin-based start-up 6Wunderkinder.

But there were some others generating noise:

1. Check out what’s trending on Instagram with GramFeed.com.
Imagine Google Images for Instagram, mixed with information about which images are “hot right now,” and you have GramFeed.com. You can even search for images by location. Boom!

2. Build a website that looks good on any device with Plebu.com. The ethos behind Plebu.com is what many marketers and communications professionals having been banging on about for years: Build a simple and user-friendly website as opposed to something that just “looks cool.” This site helps you do just that. Take the Plebu tour here.

3. Monitor and analyze global social media stats with ZoomSphere.com. If You like FameCount.com and SocialBakers.com, you’ll enjoy ZoomSphere’s “charts” functionality and reporting. You can also monitor for keyword mentions with ZoomSphere. Nice.

4. Social video gets cool thanks to Chill.com. A bunch of “social video” sites seem to be popping up at the moment, but this one might be the best we’ve seen so far. Chill.com takes videos posted by your social networks and collects the most popular ones. You can also post videos direct to Chill.com. Keep our eyes on this one; it’s definitely one to watch!

5. Convert your text copy to HTML in a flash with Markdownpad.com. If you write for the Web regularly you’ll know that converting your text into “Web language” can sometimes be a pain. This Windows-based tools takes some of the pain away.

On the Paratus Communications blog, PR Daily Europe contributing editor Adam Vincenzini rounds up five of the most-talked-about social media platforms each week. The feature is called Platform Five. Adam has agreed to simulcast it on PR Daily. If you’d like to check out the previous editions, they’re all here for you to browse through.
